  15. HomeCraft's Small Business Journal (HSBJ) is easy to install.  The HSBJ
  16. files are contained with an archive file called HSBJ01.EXE.  When
  17. this file is run the files it contains will automatically be extracted
  18. and placed on the current disk drive.  Just follow these steps:
  19.  
  20.  
  21. FLOPPY DISKS
  22.  
  23. 1) To install on a floppy disk you will need a floppy disk with at 
  24. least 800K of free space.  You can copy the HSBJ01.EXE file to that
  25. disk then type HSBJ01 and push ENTER.  To read the HSBJ magazine type
  26. HSBJ1 andpush ENTER.
  27.  
  28. Please note that we recommend reading HSBJ on a hard disk, because
  29. articles and graphics screens will load faster.  If you do not mind
  30. the extra delay, you can keep issues of HSBJ on 1.44mb or 1.2mb
  31. floppy disks.

  34. HARD DISK
  35.  
  36. 1) Create a directory on your hard disk for HSBJ.  To create a directory
  37. follow these steps:
  38.  
  39.         Go to the root directory on your hard disk.
  40.  
  41.         Type  MD HSBJ and push ENTER.
  42.  
  43.         Type CD HSBJ andpush ENTER.
  44.  
  45. 2) Place the HSBJ floppy disk in either floppy drive.  At the DOS prompt
  46. for your hard disk (just as it was left after step one above) type:
  47.  
  48.         A:HSBJ01 and push ENTER.  
  49.  
  50. Replace the A: in the above with B:, if the floppy disk is in the B: drive.
  51.  
  52. Type HSBJ1 to read the magazine.

  55. READING HOMECRAFT'S SMALL BUSINESS JOURNAL
  56.  
  57. Once HSBJ is running you can select the article you wish to read by
  58. using the cursor key to highligh the menu selection you want and then
  59. pushing ENTER.
  60. The menu contains both articles and advertisements.  Advertisements are
  61. identified by the word "Ad".  
  62.  
  63. Instructions for reading and printing articles can be displayed by 
  64. pushing F1 anytime an article is displayed.

  67. USING THE MENU
  68.  
  69. Using the "HomeCraft Small Business Journal" software is not
  70. difficult - just select the topic you wish to read from the menu. 
  71. This can be done in either of two ways:
  72.  
  73. 1) Use the mouse to put the mouse cursor on the topic you wish to
  74. read.  Then click the left button once to highlight that topic. 
  75. Once the selection you want is highlighted, put the mouse cursor on
  76. "Ok" and click the left button again.
  77.  
  78. 2) You can also use the up/down cursor keys to move the highlight
  79. bar.  Push "ENTER" when the topic you wish to read is highlighted.

  81. Once a topic is displayed on the screen your options are listed at
  82. the bottom of the screen.  You can push F1 (or click on "F1" at the
  83. bottom of the screen, to display a HELP screen with information 
  84. about reading the HSBJ.

  86. If you select a graphics based ad on the menu, and nothing appears
  87. on your screen, your computer does not have the ability to display
  88. the HSBJ graphics files.  You can push any key to return to the
  89. menu.  In some cases you may need to push a key up to three times,
  90. as the ad may consist of up to three graphics screens.

  92. By the way, when a graphics screen is displayed, you can immediately 
  93. move to the next screen by pushing any key.
